The Folk Fest strives to be a 'homegrown-grass roots fest with a diverse and eclectic line up of musicians'. It is truly a local mountain music scene, with participation and support from the whole community.

And the main shows at Hideaway Park are free! The evening Drew Emmitt show on Friday and the Vince Herman evening show on Saturday are at local venues and they do have a cover charge.
